10 Weeks

Before we get started I’m just gonna say having a sinus infection/asthma flare up/stomach bug will almost kill you during pregnancy. Now I’m toting a inhaler, cough drops, thermometer, vicks vapor rub, Amoxicillin, and cough medicine along with my Tylenol and tums.

(ignore the dirty mirror)

How far along: 10 weeks 4 days

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Well at the Dr. on Tuesday I had not gained any but I’m willing to bet I’m at a loss right now since I haven’t been able to keep much food down this week due to being so sick.

Maternity Clothes: Nope I did order a bathing suit top on Ebay for $5 w/ s&h

Stretch Marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Terrible, I’m coughing so much at night. The Dr. called in some cough medicine with phenergan and codene but somehow I still manage to cough.

Movement: Not yet

Food Cravings/Aversions: Food has been a sore subject with me this week, but I did enjoy my mashed potato casserole I made tonight.

Gender: I still don’t have a clue yet.

Belly Button In or Out: In but my belly is poking on out there.

What I Miss: Being able to breathe without coughing

What I am Looking Forward To: Not being sick anymore

Weekly Wisdom: I’ve got nothing. I became a mindless blob after watching endless hours of TV from being home sick all week.

Best Moment This Week: Sleeping peacefully most of Friday night.

With bones and cartilage starting to form and vital organs beginning to function, baby is making major progress. Body length will almost double in the next three weeks, and arm joints are now working. (Soon, legs will too.)

9 Weeks

How far along: 9 weeks 4 days

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I’m not sure since I actually found my scale but the batteries must be dead.

Maternity Clothes: Nope but buttoning my pants is a thing of the past

Stretch Marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Still not so great, Unisom is my friend

Movement: Nope

Food Cravings/Aversions: I just about hate everything except for cheese here lately

Gender: Not sure but all the parts are there just not visible to us yet

Belly Button In or Out: Maybe it’s my imagination but it seems slightly more shallow. Is that possible yet?

What I Miss: Feeling slightly human which has been rare with all the nausea lately

What I am Looking Forward To: 2nd Trimester. I don’t wanna rush things but seriously I need some relief. I actually threw up Friday night and was not expecting it. So thankful for the phenergan so that I could make it thru the 1 ½ hr car ride home.

Weekly Wisdom: Avoid car trips when nausea can strike at any time.

Best Moment This Week: getting income tax money in to pay some bills off.

Your little embryo has now officially graduated to fetus-hood. Adding to the excitement, a Doppler ultrasound device might be able to pick up the beating heart. With basic physical structures in place and increasingly distinct facial features, baby is kind of starting to look like... well... a baby!

8 Weeks

How far along: 8 wks 4 days

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I think I’m still down but I haven’t unpacked my scales yet

Maternity Clothes: Nope but the days of buttoning the pants are pretty much gone

Stretch Marks: Just the classics

Sleep: Not so hot. The night time nausea has been bad this week and then I’m up in the middle of the night with an upset stomach and if I don’t take unisom I toss and turn all night. This is probably a sign of bigger things to come. I’m probably carrying a little trouble maker. : )

Movement: Baby is moving arms and legs now but I won’t feel it for about another 8 weeks.

Food Cravings/Aversions: Still having a lot of aversions. I HATE the smell of spaghetti-0’s and the smell of the inside of my cabinets as strange as that is. I wanted potatoes really bad yesterday.

Gender: No feeling either way yet but we have one grandma that is dead set that it’s a boy and another that says she is praying for a girl. Who knows?

Belly Button In or Out: In

What I Miss: Opening the cabinets and grabbing something to eat without gagging. I’ve spent way more quality time with my bathroom than I’d like. I think I'd like to decorate that room next since I'm there so often.

What I am Looking Forward To: The 2nd trimester when this nausea is supposed to ease up and the next Dr. appt. coming up March. 2nd.

Weekly Wisdom: Eating crackers will help settle your stomach and keep a pack on your nightstand.

Best Moment This Week: Going to my mom’s to eat. I always enjoy when we have a big family meal and have a while to visit afterwards.

Your baby is growing like mad, putting on about a millimeter every day and continuing to straighten out in the trunk. Though you can't feel it yet, baby is moving those little arms, legs and (now only slightly) webbed fingers and toes like crazy.

Baby Boling 7 Weeks 5 Days

7 Weeks

How far along: 7 wks 5 days ( I know I’m really behind this week )
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Still down 5 lbs I think I weighed in at 203 today.
Maternity Clothes: Nope

Stretch Marks: Just the classics

Sleep: Good once I get to sleep. Morning sickness wants to kick in when I lay down for some reason here lately.

Movement: If you count me running for a bathroom.

Food Cravings/Aversions: No real craving this week but the aversions are back.

Gender: not sure but this week the baby’s genitals should be formed

Belly Button In or Out: In

What I Miss: Not gagging at the site of all my favorite foods

What I am Looking Forward To: Getting to show off my ultrasound pic and in unrelated news I'm ready to wash my car but I'll hold off till the snow is gone.

Weekly Wisdom: Don’t move during a snow storm

Best Moment This Week: Seeing the baby’s little heart flickering on the screen. The lady scared us to death she spent at least 10 min trying to confirm that there was only one baby in there. I’m not sure who was more nauseated this morning (except mine was morning sickness). RJ had the funniest blank stare the whole time. She really thinks it was just the cord we were seeing but I guess we won’t know for sure until the gender scan because I’m only allowed two ultrasounds with this insurance. I didn’t cry like I thought I would but that whoosh whoosh whoosh sound made me want to melt into a puddle. As soon as I find my scanner I will upload the picture. I forgot to mention we measured right on track so we did conceive a Christmas Eve miracle like I thought and the heartbeat was 155 bpm which was good too!

Baby's now the size of a blueberry!

Baby's brain -- both hemispheres! -- is growing fast, generating about one hundred new cells every minute. Arms and legs are emerging as joints start to form, and a permanent set of kidneys (baby's third!) is now in place.
