32 Weeks

How far along: 32 Weeks 6 Days

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I’m still up 2lbs. but under starting weight

Maternity Clothes: I’m surprisingly still managing to throw in some normal shirts that were long to begin with.

Stretch Marks: So apparently I never thought to lift up my belly. OMG they were attacking from below while I had naively thought I was safe.

Sleep: I’m up to pee at least 3 times at night so I don’t sleep real good until morning when there isn’t much left to pee anymore.

Movement: I think I feel hiccups more than anything else now and they will last at least 10-15 minutes.

Food Cravings/Aversions: Nothing new I suppose and I can’t think of anything that I just had to have besides just chocolate in general.

Gender: Girl

Belly Button In or Out: Still very close to flat but I don’t think it’s going to pop out either

What I Miss: I’m starting to miss human interaction thru the day. I actually carried on a conversation with a complete stranger at Walmart today. Then I got sick at the chiropractor because I laid on my belly for too long. I think I scared the poor lady to death and she sat and fanned me for a while.

What I am Looking Forward To: Finishing up the curtains in the nursery.

Weekly Wisdom: Even though I would be too embarrassed to ride the motorized cart in Walmart I’ve learned that I’ve now hit the point where I may have to sit and rest about half way thru shopping because I got way too tired.

Best Moment This Week: Getting one of the curtains done for the nursery. I’m very pleased since I did it with no sewing machine and no pattern. However I am going to borrow Mama’s sewing machine so I can finish everything in a timely manner because one panel was an all day project.

How your baby's growing:

By now, your baby weighs 3.75 pounds (although all my other sources say up to 4 1/2 lbs) and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, she'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.

31 Weeks

How far along: 31 Weeks 4 Days

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I’ve lost 2lbs again so I’m back at + 3 lbs.

Maternity Clothes: I haven’t worn much more than a robe this last week honestly

Stretch Marks: No better no worse at the moment

Sleep: Not so great I keep moving the wrong way and pulling muscles in my belly that feels more like someone set me on fire.

Movement: Feeling a lot more this week but she turned breech again so at least her head isn’t putting so much pressure on me.

Food Cravings/Aversions: I want coffee and chocolate

Gender: Girl

Belly Button In or Out: About the same just really shallow

What I Miss: Sitting still for a hour without needing to pee

What I am Looking Forward To: The next baby shower so we can get her room finished. I want so badly to get everything done but I know a lot of that is hormones and boredom.

Weekly Wisdom: Put on your sunscreen carefully. I’m pretty burnt today and you can see around my hairline where I missed because it is bright red.

Best Moment This Week: I guess my Dr. appt because it was a relief to hear my weight is staying on track and getting to hear the heartbeat is always a plus which is still sticking around 14o bpm.

This weeks educational moment sans picture:

This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. She weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. She can turn her head from side to side, and her arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath her skin.

30 Weeks

So I put my photoshop skills to the test and edited out my stretch marks ( You wanna fight about it?)

How far along: 30 Weeks 5 Days

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I was up 5lbs at my last apt.

Maternity Clothes: I don’t have to worry so much about looking presentable now so it’s just whatever I can squeeze into and still be comfy.

Stretch Marks: I think the one above my belly button is getting worse.

Sleep: I’m starting to get up more throughout the night and I guess it was just Braxton Hicks but I was really uncomfortable and up for several hours Sunday night.

Movement: I’m not getting the same kinds of kicks and punches these days just seeing a lot of rolling in my belly and my ribs have been rezoned as a foot rest.

Food Cravings/Aversions: I want sodas and coffee so bad but I’m trying really hard to avoid another gall bladder attack. I think I may look into getting some diet root beer since it is caffeine free and I won’t have to worry about the sugar either. Maybe some decaf coffee too since I don’t really need a caffeine pick me up it’s more about the smell and taste.

Gender: Girl

Belly Button In or Out: It looks like a slight dimple right now.

What I Miss: Being able to take something for a headache and this isn’t really baby related but I want all the bad food that the gall bladder has restricted me from.

What I am Looking Forward To: Well right now I can’t say I have a lot going on since I was laid off from my job Friday afternoon. It’s bittersweet since I needed some rest but I would have really liked to have worked at least another month but the good news is I have plenty of time to prep for the baby getting here, I don’t have to worry about fitting into clothes and looking decent for work, I can be barefoot, and if I have a bad night and I don’t sleep well no big deal because I can sleep in or take a nap.

Weekly Wisdom: I’m really drawing a blank here and it probably isn’t going to get much better considering that I won’t have a lot of human interaction for the next couple of weeks. I guess I'm just going to work on just being me for awhile. Since Friday I've been feeling kind of down and useless and did not realize how much of my life that my job consumed. Things just seem weird right now since I've worked since I was 17 and now I'm just here.

Best Moment This Week: I think the highlight of my week was eating the campfire smore blast from Sonic, sad but true.

Here is this weeks educational moment:

Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face.

29 Weeks

How far along: 29 Weeks 6 Days

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I’ll find out tomorrow

Maternity Clothes: are fitting a little more snug these days

Stretch Marks: no better no worse

Sleep: I’m tossing and turning a lot even with the Unisom. My hips pop every time I roll over.

Movement: She is starting to become more cramped to I just feel more pushing than kicks and punches. Sometimes I still get a surprise attack out of nowhere.

Food Cravings/Aversions: I want ice cream so bad and I’m trying to avoid the high fat foods so that hopefully I can make it a little longer without having another gall bladder attack. So far I’ve had 4 attacks since 19 weeks and this is getting old really quick.

Gender: Girl

Belly Button In or Out: I’m noticing more change now and it’s getting close to flat.

What I Miss: Being able to eat what I want and I'm not digging the sensation of  feeling like I’ve been kicked between the legs on a daily basis. On an up note the sciatica is better.

What I am Looking Forward To: Getting the rest of the finishing touches done in the nursery.

Weekly Wisdom: Well the best I have this week is always look down to make sure it’s your purse on your arm and not another random bag. I can’t believe I forgot my purse .

Best Moment This Week: Seeing the fireworks and feeling Gracie moving around like crazy. I can’t believe this time next year she’ll be here and even old enough to maybe enjoy them. Oh and I can’t forget a big thank you to Mama and Larry for painting the bedroom. Pictures coming soon…
Baby’s energy is surging, thanks to the formation of white fat deposits beneath the skin. (Have those kicks and jabs to the ribs tipped you off yet?) Baby is also settling into sleep and waking cycles, though -- as you’ve also probably noticed -- they don’t necessarily coincide with your own. Also this month, all five senses are finally functional, and the brain and nervous system are going through major developments.
