How far along: 26 Weeks 5 Days
Total Weight Gain/Loss: None
Maternity Clothes: Yes but I still manage to get into a few things with the help of stretchy clothes. I kinda feel like I quit growing but the belly is just changing positions for now. I'm starting to feel out of breath more often and it's nothing bothersome but my ribs are getting a little sore so I'm sure she's redecorating again.
Stretch Marks: Nothing new
Sleep: Good but my hips are killing me and I have to change positions often
Movement: Most of the time sleeping thru the day but she always wakes up when I eat and when I’m in the car singing (I’m not sure if that’s good or bad).
Food Cravings/Aversions: I wanted chocolate cake so bad last night I could have cried.
Gender: Girl
Belly Button In or Out: Still wide and about the same pretty shallow.
What I Miss: Being able to take something good for a headache and now I’m starting to waddle up stairs so I guess not looking like a Weeble.
What I am Looking Forward To: Getting the glucose test over with and looking forward to my 1st baby shower. Oh and I'll throw in what I'm not really looking forward to... 3rd Trimester starts next week. I'm in denial that this is going by so fast.
Weekly Wisdom: I don’t suppose I learned anything that great this week but then again memory is not one of my better qualities.
Best Moment This Week: My mom and little sister getting to see the baby moving.
No fruit pic this week but I threw in some info about milestones this week.
•The baby measures 14 inches long and weighs over 1.7 pound.
•Baby measures 35.5cm long and weighs over 760 grams.
•The feet are 2 inches (5cm) long. Hands are very active.
•The baby's eyes begin to open around this time.
The fetus makes breathing movements, but there is no air in the lungs yet. Hands are active and muscle coordination is such that they can get a thumb into the mouth. Thumb sucking calms the baby and strengthens the cheek and jaw muscles.
The fetal brain scan will show response to touch. Touching and playing with the baby is possible now, as they may respond to your touch through your belly wall. Brain growth continues with brain wave activity for the visual and auditory systems starting to develop. Baby is probably very active in the womb, as the most active weeks are typically between weeks 24 and 28.
